Senior Management Team

John Pitts
John is owner of The Woodhorn Group steering our strategic direction and focus. As a fourth generation farmer, he can date his family’s involvement with this area back to 1882. John took over the reins in 1989, and since then has led the diversification of the business in a numbers of areas. As well as converting the Farm to organic in 1998, he’s introduced the transformation of farm buildings into office space, and established our green waste recycling and waste management divisions. Over the years John has been recognised with a number of awards including Sustainable Farmer of the Year by Farmer’s Weekly and Organic Dairy Farmer of the Year. Away from guiding the business John enjoys spending time in the countryside, and in Majorca.

Cameron Lewis
Cameron joined The Woodhorn Group in 2009 as our General Manager. He’s overseen the creation of our solar farm and worked closely with John in the diversification of the business, including establishing our Earth Cycle brand of garden products. Cameron was promoted to Managing Director in 2020 and now oversees all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Farm and wider business. He has a particular interest in regenerative farming and carbon sequestering projects to ensure our operations become carbon neutral. Cameron holds a National Diploma in Agriculture from Plumpton Agricultural College. In previous roles he worked for Langmead Farms and spent time in Kenya with Flamingo Holdings as a Growing Manager and General Manager.

Mike Jupp
Mike is our Commercial Director and leads the sales and marketing activities of our Earth Cycle range. He’s a skilled sales professional with a high level of knowledge of the horticulture market and specific expertise of turf, topsoil and other growing mediums. After time as a Lab Technician for Tarmac, Mike worked as the last ever Quarry Manager at Shepperton Quarry in Middlesex before moving into a commercial role managing the production and supply of aggregates for sports turf, including as golf courses, race courses and professional football stadiums.

Morgan Davies
Morgan is our Materials Recycling Director, responsible for our waste management operations. His role sees him liaising with our large contractor and corporate clients, and the effective management of our recycling sites across Hampshire and West Sussex. Before joining us in 2012 Morgan worked for Hampshire County Council as Contracts Manager and Portsmouth City Council, where he helped implement a citywide scheme to introduce 50,000 recycling wheelie bins to residents. Morgan holds the CIWM WAMITAB Level 4 qualification, the NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety and ILM certificates in effective leadership.
