Centenary Quay – Housing development of a collection of luxury waterside homes
The Project
Centenary Quay is a regeneration scheme set against the backdrop of Southampton’s cityscape and the River Itchen. The development has been managed by Crest Nicholson, a leading developer focusing on creating sustainable communities which include careful consideration of the local environment, wildlife and biodiversity. Working with valued customer De-ath Bros, we were asked to supply certified soils in line with the requested specification of the build. The Centenary Quay development has been carefully designed to include attractive courtyard spaces, landscaped planting of trees and lawns, and rooftop gardens with wildlife nesting boxes.

The Brief
The main objective was to ensure fast and efficient delivery of soil materials in line with theproject’s timeline to ensure that planting spaces could be successfully completed and improvethe aesthetic of the development ahead of the sales process.
The Timeline
Supply of Woodhorn soils began in September 2023 for phase 1 of the project. Phase 2concluded in October 2024.
The Materials

The Outcome
The site manager has been consistently pleased with the short turnaround time between orderand delivery. For the majority of deliveries, we have been able to offer a next day service, and insome instances a same day delivery to help keep the project on track.
